I have just started to set up my first reef tank and was looking for live rock on the internet and found a company in southren CA by the name of walt smith i was wondering if it is a realible source. Thanks

Walt Smith supplies a lot of the live rock retailers. I don't think that company sells directly to the public. The vendor experiences forum has a lot of live rock reviews.
