If this is for a new tank you might wanna consider buying mostly dry rock and then just seeding everything with a single piece of LR from your lfs. You'll save a lot of money this way as LR tends to be a lot more expensive. I personally like the reef saver rock from bulk reef supply. Marco rocks is also pretty good.
If you are going for maximum diversity, have you considered online? Places like gulfliverock and tampa bay live rock? Though I agree with the others, from a financial perspective, mixing live and dry is a good idea.
Well, I was able to accumulate most all of my rock. Now I just need some good rock to seed the rest of my tank. What local stores keep good clean live rock assortments. Or is anyone willing to sell me a small batch of nicely covered rock.
Please let me know.
I am also looking for about 10 lbs of live rock to seed my Marco base rock. Sorry kporn don't mean to hijack your thread, you definitely have first dibs....
Live rock (pukani or similar) must come from well established reef tank with plenty of coralline and no pest or algae. Please post pics here, I am willing to travel within 10 mile radius of my location.
