live sand clouds my water

Hey guys new here on the forums. I've been keeping freshwater fish for ages now and wanted to try my hand at a small 29 gallon (us) reef tank. The only fauna I plan on keeping in this tank are mushroom corals and zoanthids. No fish. My problem is that yesterday I bought the bottled seawater at the LFS and also 60 pounds of live sand in the bags containing water. I added the water in first and then poured out the contents of all the live sand. The cloudiness is so dense that i can see only 1 inch through the water. Is this normal? and if i just let things sit around without any mechanical filtration or protein skimming will it all settle down eventually? I believe the particles floating around are too small to be caught in the sponge filter media. Also planning on adding my live rock today as I couldn't effectively aquascape yesterday. Thanks alot guys. See you on the forums.

sandstorms are fun!!!!
don't worry, it will clear. In my 12gal it took ~8 hours. In my 75 gal, it took about 6 days ;)

it shouldnt take very long. I just did a 75 gallon last thursday at school and monday morning it was completely settled. but it is perfectly normal, and i wouldnt be worried if it takes longer than that. It will settle though.
