I am finishing the teardown of my farm tank and what I have left is live sand and rubble. My system has live mysis in it, so by taking this sand and rubble you pretty much guarantee yourself a future population of live mysis shrimp in your system.
Caveat - unless you have fish and or shrimp in your (not a) refuge refugium. Which is completely fail anyway, but to each his own.
Anyway, if you are a current member of PMAS the cost of this will be $0. Assuming you can get to Cranberry Twp before Sunday and have a 5 gallon bucket to take the sand and rubble in.
If you are not a PMAS member, I'll charge you... $20. Which you could have bought a membership with. But don't think I'll be doing that for you.
First person to be able to get to my house takes it. If nobody wants it I'll be dumping the sump into the hole in my backyard. Not only will a nice batch of live sand with critters die a terrible death but worse I'll have to haul the bucket of sand up my steps myself. The HORROR!
