Just testing out my new toy. Picked up a cheapie Airlink 250w IP cam. I have a crappy upload speed @ the moment. Just playing around with it. Have fun, I'm probably going to take it down tomorrow. My display light is off now, only my actinic is on right now.

Gotta have java to view.

Is this the same cam that you asked me to test for you last time?? It's pretty slow but not bad..

It's slow because my upload speed is slow. For where I'm installing the cameras, I'm getting cable, Supposed to get faster upload speed. When I view it within my own network it's pretty smooth. So I'd best if I have fast upload speed and the viewer have good download speed it should work out well.

I was watching them this morning at work and the speed is pretty good, considering the bad upload speed I have at home. I bought two camera and to my suprise , the dlink which is more expensive wasn't as clear and didn't have as wide a viewing angle as this airlink. changing my 802.11b to a mimo G camera also speed things up a lot.

I just upgraded my internet service with faster upload. My speed test shows I'm doing 320kbps upload now. Effective as of this morning. Check out the video now. Much smoother even at higher resolution. I'm extremely impress.

I think everyone should have a one of this mounting in front of their tank. For $130 bucks you can stalk your fishes all day. :)

However, you must have static IP in order to monitor remotely.
