Livestock for sale

Oh, and to do my part to encourage meeting participation, I can deliver these to the next MARS meeting to make it easier on folks that live further out.

Hey Mike,

You can drop me from the list and let others have a shot at them. I already have some green ones like those.

Thanks.

Mike, I'll take a large one as well. Can I pick it up this weekend? I think sat I am going down to the new Aquarium concepts to pick up my chiller. Thanks, just let me know.

Thank you all for the overwhelming interest in these items. To give folks a fair shot at responding, I will post the status of all items this evening.

All tangs, the golden angelfish, the stars, and the maroon clowns are still available!

I'll respectively bow out Mike. Thought the orange was on the body and not the mouth, and was hoping to replace the one that I had lost from yourreef.

That redish angel is beautifull! Is that a potters?
Oh, I see "Golden", man that is one gorgeous fish!

Thanks for the update Justin. Its so hard to call out colors on the yumas when they have pinks, greens, yellows, orange and red mixed in.

Update @ 5PM 3/12/2007

1x fifty cent piece size Yuma - little_d (delivered to meeting)
1x fifty cent piece size Yuma + 2 dime size pieces- BBCoach (pickup)
1x quarter size Yuma - wongkwp (delivered to meeting)
1x fifty cent piece size Yuma - tfp (pickup)
1x fifty cent piece size Yuma - Marko9 (pickup)
2x dime size Yumas- funman1 - (delivered to meeting)
2x quater size Yumas + 1x Large Flame Angelfish 3-4" - $25 Allin14 (pickup)
1x Large Swallow tail Angelfish, approximately 4-5" - $20 MattTaylor (pickup)

If I did my math right, and I hope I did, that leaves one dime size Yuma available. If you buy a couple fish, I will throw this in for free :) - or if somebody wanted to buy it directly, that's cool too. Come on, you know you want those beautiful fish...

Hey Al,

These fish were from a recent tank tear down (not my own) from a fellow reefer who got out of the hobby after 3 years. The fish is well adjusted to tank life (he had for over a year and a half) and eats regularly - these are not fish straight from the ocean, they are tank raised.

As for shipping, I have never tried to ship, and prefer local pickups. If it goes much longer and it still does not have a home, I might consider it. Thanks for the interest!

Update @ 12PM on 3/13

Here is what is still available:

3) Golden Angelfish, this is a very rare and great looking fish, approximately 3" - $80
6) Gold banded maroon clownfish, approximately 4"- $20
7) XX Large Sailfin Tang, approximately 7-8" (and 5" vertically) - $60

All other fish/Rics have been spoken for. Thank you!

Hey all,

If you have some Yumas coming to you on Friday, please confirm you will be at the meeting and are ready... thanks!

Also, if you are picking up the pieces, please confirm your appts dates/time.

The Clown, Golden Angel, and Sailfin will be available until this weekend. These are truly beautiful and healthy fish, you would do well to have them. If no takers, I will take them to the LFS where I am sure somebody is going to pay 2-3x this cost and I can only hope a responsible aquarist will pick it up.

I thought you might be interested in this. The other day I was doing a bit of coral shopping at a reef farmers' place in Pleasanton - a guy whom I respect and really knows his reef. He runs a business buying/selling/raising coral and does quite well at it.

The subject of Ricordia Yumas came up and these beauts that are being sold here to MARS folks was mentioned. Apparently there is a mass shortage of these things in the wholesale world and he said he would have expected to buy these particular yumas at $40+ a piece. Wow! Can you beleive that... for a Yuma?!

Is that what you you are seeing out there too? I love Rics and all, and have a modest collection, but $40 ea? If this is indeed accurate, share the wealth when these make baby Yumas!

I definitely don't see Yumas out there too often at the pet stores. I see even less of the really colorful ones. Of the nicer ones I see, they definitely cost between $40-100.

The more common green ones or brown ones usually sell for significantly less per polyp. It really comes down to whatever the people will pay though :)
