I will be moving all my tanks' livestock into a new system, but before that I will do a very thorough quarantine. The below are the steps I'm planning to take, but I need some suggestions / tips / critisism before going into it.
Equipment:
30 Gallon Fish QT
10 Gallon Coral QT
30G Fish QT:
1x 150watt Jager Heater
1x Seio 620
Some PVC piping to hide in
1x AquaClear HOB filter
1x 55watt PC bulb
10G Coral QT:
1x 150watt Jager Heater
2x Seio 620
AquaClear HOB Filter
1x 250watt HQI
30G Fish QT:
The only fish I'll be introducing will be my pair of clownfish, so I'll probably just stick them into the QT for a few days. They shouldn't need any treatment since they have always been healthy, but I'll probably go for some ich treatment just in case. In the aquaclear I'll just be using a sponge.
For new fish I will QT for at least a week, treating for ich, popeye, and anything else that I see. I'll also make sure they're eating well. I'll do two water changes a week while they're in the tank.
10G Coral QT:
Not sure what to do here. Inspect for red bugs, AEFW, etc... I'll probably just have them sit in the tank for a week with Tropic Marin Coral Cure dips once a day. I'll QT my SPS first, then LPS and Softies. Do you think one 15 min dip a day will do the job? I'll also be checking for any eggs etc. I only have a few SPS, and they all look really healthy anyway.
Any tips / suggestions?
