Lo Pan...R.I.P.: A Eulogy.

Well, I just found my little N. Wennerae dead (It would be funny for someone to ID him as otherwise now, though I always thought that he was a N. Wenn).
I'm not sure exactly what killed him, though someone accidently unplugged his filter 2 ays ago (a well-meaning relative who was unplugging his light, since my 5 hex has a problem with the switch. No blame from me,though).

EULOGY

He was a good Mantis, if a little skittish. I won't post a pic of him dead (he is sitting in a little tupperware tub, because I don't know what to do with him yet). Some friends have said things to the effect of 'It's not like your cat died or anything...it's a shrimp, though we Stomatofreaks know otherwise, on both counts). Lo Pan was a fierce looking little guy, always readuy to throw a meral spread my way if I got too close to the aquarium, and he wasn't scared of any pesky cats, either. In fact, he used to swim up and look at the G. tern in the next tank over with a 'You don't want any of this...' sort of tough-guy attitude. His digs will go to a new Mantis (hopefully one that a friend mentioned he might get, from another mantis-hating friend who got him in as a hitchhiker).I'd like to think that Lo Pan's little spirit will be swimming in the depths with Poseidon, looking tough to any pesky triggers that happen by.After all, a trigger's got nothing on a 20 pound Tortoise Shell, and he made her jump 3' back on several occassions with a ferocious threat-spread.
He will be missed...
