Lobo receding please assist

It was doing great and growing nicely for over a year until the past 2 months. The receding started happening 2 months ago to the point at which you see in the photo and now it's stalled a bit. I've got no idea what could suddenly be causing this recession nor what to do about it. Could it be the adjacent paly colony?

Temp=76.5-77.5
pH=8.2-8.3
density=1.024
Ca2=1300
Ca++=380
nitrates/nitrates/ammonia=0

standard biocube lighting, no fish, mostly zoas and corallimorphs.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Has anything irritated it, a sting from another corals etc? Once you start seeing the skeletal stucture (the very white structure) its a very bad sign.

Yeah, looks like it got stung. It's going to die off halfway and you will have the bottom part left, which you can frag the dead part off. IMO

Ok, I've decided not to move him or touch him at all for that matter. I'll just clear up the area around him.
