I found a thread in the DIY section where someone have the genius idea to use a piece of Loc-Line to create a very cheap and quite effective eductor to increase flow in their tank. Here one that I made:
These simple cuts produced a noticeable increase in water flow from my mag-7. I then looked up a photo of a real eductor and thought to myself, "Hell, I can make that." And here's how it went down:
Go to hobby lobby and find some cheap plastic bottles like this. This is not the actual bottle I used. They sell ones that are about 1/3" the height and 1/2" the width, that's what you want. The nozzles are much wider.

Scrap the bottle and leave the nozzle. Cut the nozzle off just above the threads, leaving a slight ring around the base.

Cut the top of the nozzle off just lower than the edge of the Loc-Line.

Glue the nozzle to the end of the Loc-Line. Here you can see the notches to keep it in place while the superglue dries.
