Local PVC gate valve source

For those of you who are tired of using hard-to-adjust ball valves and want much finer control of water flow through your plumbing, I found a local supplier of PVC gate valves. Gate valves are the kind with the flat, round knob you turn, like the kind on your outdoor garden hose connector. "Big R" on Hwy 24 just NE of Falcon has a couple of dozen sizes and fitting types (smooth and threaded), and the quality is very good. They start at about $2.50 for 3/4" threaded fittings. I use one on the input to my protein skimmer. It works great.

Do they carry 1-1/4" gate valves? That is what is needed for the ASM gate valve mod.

No they dont. 1" is the biggest gate valve they have.

No doubt they can order it for you. It has to be cheaper than the Internet.

Therre must be a ranch or irrigation supply store in Pueblo. Have you checked with them? Big R is just a ranch supply chain.
