lonely clown and yellow wrasse

I had 1 of my Oce clowns commit suicide this week. :face palm: I have a nano 30 that I'm looking to add another fish too, but don't know what to get. I want some color that would get a long with the clown and yellow wrasse. Also thinking of getting the clown another mate, but since he/she would be new to the tank I understand they may not get along. Any thoughts?

I would get a replacement for the lost clownfish.
If the survivor is small and was the submissive of the two you could either add a larger or a smaller. If he was the dominant you better go with a smaller one.

First, I'm assuming your Clown jumped out. If that is the case, you first need to get your tank covered. I use clear mesh for my display tanks, glass tops for my quarantine tanks. All of my tanks are covered 100% and I have only ever lost one Neon Gobies who fit through the 1/4" mesh.

Otherwise, if you get a very young Clown, that would be your best bet. That would guarantee you don't have two females. Other options would be Firefish, Assessor, Royal Gramma, small Blenny like a Tailspot, etc.
