Lonely fish

Seems like every time I leave for 1 or more days when I get back someones either dead or injured. I never notice my fish fighting or really even acting aggressivily towards each other. I often observe them very late at night, several hours after the lights go out. Never any problems. But leave for a couple days and all heck breaks loose. When I went on vacation in May, when I returned my scopus tang had been killed by the other tangs. Last weekend I was gone for 2 days and returned to find my 2 clown fish badly beaten and bruised from their fight. Each clown had their own nem. and appeared to be happy but on returning home they had swapped nems and obviously had a large fight. Now one of the nems is unhappy and is moving, getting very close to my sps. So I chased the gold spriped maron out of it and let the pink skunk back in. I guess I'll wait and see how long this lasts. Anyone else had experience with this problem?

Well, I would think you'd have problems off the bat seeing as how you shouldn't be mixing different clown types in the same tank. Especially not peaceful skunks, and a B#*$@ Maroon Clown, which are very aggressive. What other tangs did you have in the tank? How long was your tank set up? What size? How long were the clowns in there?

The tangs that killed the scopus were 3 yellows. They never paid any attention to him before. Yellow tangs were in tank for over 1 year, scopus 3 months. Tank was being fed by father who saw them fighting. I think its amazing how fish seem to know people, and I believe they get ****ed when you leave them. Tank as in description on OP is 240 gal with nems at each side.
