Long neck BTA

Okay, the BTA's tenticles has gotten much more color in two days. I'll try to download a picture. The maroon IS pretty rough though. Do you recommend put the maroon in the fuge for a few days?

Looks a little bit better...

Maybe if you just put a strawberry basket or something over the anemone to protect it?

Keep feeding him well and you will see that stalk turn a pink, then into a dull-brown color when it has fully bounced back.

Just a small bit of nit-picking here. :) I have five color morphs of bta's (two rose and three green) and some have a tan foot and some have a pinkish-purple foot. So it may end up either way for the OP's 'nem.

Yep good idea. If the clown is healthy the stress of a move shouldn't be too bad. Looks like a big fish a 10g fuge may be too small. I agree that the fish should be the one contained. I have seen people who put a single sheet of plexiglass or some of that white plastic with little squares used for sewing (I know we used to have some kleenex boxes made out of the stuff as kids). Rough cut it in a profile around the rocks slide it down and it should serve as a partition basically splitting the the tank in two Save the cut out to fill the gaps (little zip-ties work good). Give the anemone a week or so until it is happy. It might fair better. Sometimes fish make anemones healthier, but I beleive it is just the way they simulate a strong current. Good Luck.

Obviously, rinse well everything before sticking it in the tank. How to properly clean things is a whole nother thread.....
Color does look much better!

The reason why your RBTA looks like it has more color is because it is shrunk. When anemones shrink, their pigmentation and zooxanthellae is compressed together giving off a more colorful anemone. Can you take a picture of your RBTA fully inflated?

I highly recommend that you put your maroon in your fuge for a while. Your maroon will most likely end up killing it. Keep your maroon in the fuge as long as possible.

For those following my story (thanks so much BTW) -
Here is the latest pic. I moved him as high up as possible last night. He moved down to the nearest crevice. He is about 8 inches from my lights. The maroon is still in there for now.
