Long shot, but does anyone have a dual 400 w ballast they can lend me for a week +

I have a couple 400 watt complete fixtures but I haven't added power cords to them yet.

all I would need is the ballast that would take the plug from the fixtures. I have all the cords and stuff. One of the ballast isnt firing a bulb all the way and sunsupply says common problem send it in and they will fix it.l

These are those all in one fixtures that lostmarbles had with the ballasts built on the side of the reflector housing. They would need a power cord wired in and then I guess you could extend the 2 bulb wires out and connect them to your existing bulb wires. I'm not sure if they are pulse/probe start though. I'm running an Iwasaki 6500K bulb over my fuge with one unit and the other 2 were waiting for me to get another frag tank up and running. It would work with the right kind of bulb but depending on your current type bulb it may not.

Thanks Roy, I guess I may just go ahead and buy a new ballast. That way I can have a spare in case one goes out.

Not a bad idea and after some time w/o any issues, you may find you want it for an expansion for frag tanks, etc. 400w will grow some great cheato too!
