I have been planning on adding an urchin to a FOWLR tank, if nothing else than as something that fits the theme (IndoPacific venomous species) but have been wondering how much of a hazard they pose to the fish getting stuck by a spine. Astropyga radiata is the species I have been having my eye on, and it is a 'spinier' species than many of the typical urchins. Will it pose a significant risk to a fast moving, skittish fish like my rabbitfish? I figure my lions will be slow enough to avoid an urchin.
