I bought a long tent. last night. It seemed to be doing fine. This morning as I was leaving for work, I noticed it was shirveled up about 1/4 the size. Is it dying? It seemed to be moving some, and the colors were brighter than last night when I got it home.... I am lost.
Welcome to RC!
It's common for nems to open w/ light, and close when light is off.
My LTA is especially sensitive to this, and I've even seen it completely bury itself to where I thought it was gone.
So mine can go from this;
well that makes me feel a little better. The light was on all night though, so I dont know if it would close up for these same reasons. I just hope it is not dead. I will post some pictures when I get home from work.
I hope that is all it is. Should I pull it out of the tank and get rid of it if it is not back to normal soon? I dont want it decaying in the tank and killing anything, but I am not sure if it is dead or not. I do not know why it would be dead, none of my other fish seem any different.
Ill check it out when I get home, should be home in the next hour or less. Ill post some pictures. Thanks for all the responses slakker & dav, I really appreciate it. I'm very new to all this haha.
Ok, just got home. Still looks the same. I see the tenticles move here and there, so that makes me think maybe its still alive. I don't know though. It sure doesnt look like it. Oh and the pictures below are of it after i turned it right side up.
I see nothing that says BTA or LTA myself, so assuming it was labeled correct, moving to rock would stress it out even more.
If BTA it will move to rock on it's own.
Best is help it stay put, and leave it alone IMO.
