Long tentacle anemone ripped to pieces, survival rate?

I received a beautiful long tentacle anemone that i placed in my refugium with my clown pair. He has been in there probably a month or so. Was doing great and my clowns were hosting in it and feeding it.

Of course this happened while we were out of time sometime this weekend, he climbed up the glass, squeezed through the 1/2" gap in the glass and landed on my main return pump. :eek1:

He escaped being pureed, but he was torn into three large pieces, and about 20 pieces of tentacles. Two of the three big pieces have foot, mouth and tentacles. The third big piece looks like a piece of foot only. They did not stink and were not mush. In fact all three large pieces were inflated and stuck to the glass. He did not split though, you can tell he was ripped, you can see his guts.

Since he wasn't dead or decaying and still inflating and sticking to the glass I moved him back into the fuge.

Now my question, will they live?

I had a similar experience my rose went through the overflow on my 34 solana. I know have 4 very small roses. It also blocked the overflow which caused about a gallon of water to overrun the sides of the tank. Yes it is very difficult to peel 4 small nems off of the walls inside the overflow!

Yesterday he was half blown up , but looked nasty so I pulled it out and it smelled of death. Squishy death, no sting. I just went ahead and removed all the pieces.

Stupid anemone. :(
