Long term success with clowns hosting other then anemone?

I used to have a 75g with a pair of maroon clowns that hosted a rbta. That rbta got way too huge for the tank, after a while I took the tank down. Now I have a 156g tank and at first I did not want clowns because I do not want an anemone. But now I might want a pair of clowns . if they host in one of my hammers how will the long term success of the hammer or other coral they host in be? Will it cause damage and failure to the hammer coral or other coral?
Thanks

I've had a pair of percs hosting in a frogspawn hammer for 2 years now. They don't do any harm to the coral at all, and at night when the coral closes up, they just nestle down in it's branches...

my pair lived in a large toadstool for about five years. i move them into a new tank without the toad stool and they hosted the frogspawn and they did fine. i later added a torch coral that the female tore to pieces. two of the heads died and i had bright green tentacles floating around the tank until i moved the fish to another tank. the torch is recovering now. i have also had them host colonies of hairy mushrooms.

Think about it like this. Anemones have no skeleton. Clownfish pushing all over them doesn't cause much damage. Euphyllia's like frogspawn, hammer, and torch live with their delicate tissue attached to this.
