Long white stringy poooo

I have a pair of true percs, and both of them have long stringy pooo. What is the diagnosis and what is the cure.

These fish had a tough week. I drained the tank that they were in. Had them in a Q tank for 3 days and then moved to the tank that they are in today. They have now been in this tank for about a week.

They seem to be eating and doing fine other wise.

If they stop eating treat for IP. Some clowns have been known to poop like that when stressed though.

They have not stopped eating, however they are a little more finicky then normal. I have started to dose the food with Prasipro and they are eating a little. Everything else in the tank is eating a lot so it may just be stressed caused by the last move two weeks ago.

Thanks for the reply

I had something similar a few years ago and after I treated them for the internal parasites, their appetite returned to normal and no more white stringy poo.

Well good news... After three days of treating my clowns with prazipro they seem to be doing good. They could tell that their food did not taste the same and they kind of turned away from it after taking in some food. As of this after noon no more stringy poo and in fact I think I would be proud of some of the pooo that I have seen come out of these guys today :spin2: .

I can't say for sure if it was me medicating their food or if they finally just settled down a bit and they are now happy again.

Either way thanks for your help.

They can eat prazipro? I though it was an external medicine? oh well glad they are eating again.
