Longevity

Reidi's that I have had previously have lived 7 years (just passed earlier this year :( no longer under my care), I cant yet say about my erectus as they have only lived about two so far, buthopefully they have a long way yet. I have heard of captive erectus living for about the same (7 years), Pete Giwojna told me about a couple of seahorses that were part of the original broodstock at ocean rider that were still alive a couple of years ago making them ~10.

Most seahorses in the ornamental hobby would have a life expectancy of 7 or 8 years as mentioned, with extremes both shorter and longer.
Reality is that most seahorses sold for the hobby will perish in less than one year.
With education, and more true captive bred livestock becoming available, the odds of success are improving however.

with the right care erectus can live 9 if cared for right i know because mine is just a week over 9 years now
