Longtentacled Anemone not doing well

I bought this critter with two maroon clowns a week ago, water conditions normal with a low elevation of Nitrates >10 PPM...
anyways the anemone looked healthy at the LFS, put him in the tank and now his tentacles look shriveled he is just laying on his side in the corner of the tank, and the foot pedestal is shrunken up instead of a nice elongated tube, should I write this one off as a loss and flush it? BTW the clowns look happya nd frolicking and clowning... so are the rest of my snails and fish...and my ZOAs are doing well.

Yes, ditch the bio's, slowly, like a handful every few days till gone.
3 mo's is a bit soon, min rec is 6mo. for nems as they need good water params.
Your light may be a little weak for an LTA as well.
Pics?

I wasn't sure exactly what your wattage was, but yeah, just a little on the low side IMO.
But more of a concern is definitely time running.
You may want to take that nem back or give to someone w/ an established tank.
If you were more established you could maybe get away w/ present light, but your nem would probably be reaching for light.

I wouldn't flush this anemone yet.
Make sure SG and temp are correct and stable. Low nitrates aren't fatal to this species. If the Clownfish are harassing the anemone get them away from it. Lighting is on the low side. Has the anemone ever been fed? Have you determined exactly what type of "LTA" that you have? (See the RC Anemone FAQ at the top of this forum.)
