Look like momma or poppa?

My tomato and false perc mated and had eggs. I am not sure if I will get slammed for trying to raise the mutant babies. :eek1:
I was trying to find information on the these type of clowns mating but was unsuccessful. Any information would be great!

This is their 3rd batch. I've had these guys for about 5 years. The got along very well in my 75 gallon and became very good friends, actually lovers recently :) hanging out in my gbta.

Here are some of the fry today (9 days old) from the second batch since I didn't have time to raise rotifers for the first batch. I have 8 left. I used the flashlight and scoop at night method for them. Started with around 50 and lost about half of them the first night. I will be taking the rock out this time since I think I am not a well-versed scoopman and caused a lot of trauma during the fry relocation. Not to mention it was back-breaking work!

Three of them are starting to look like momma with the stripe on the head. :D

Hopefully my next batch will be more successful! It is still a work in progress, reading all that I can get my hands on. ;)

Someone on here was raising tomato/Occ fry about 2 years ago I believe. There was a huge thread on it.... maybe someone who can search will post it for you.

Both tomatoes and ocellaris start with one head stripe and gradually get three stripes. The tomato clowns then end up losing their 3rd and 2nd stripes so it may be a while before you can really tell what you are going to have.

It cracks me up that you have like 3 pieces of terracota pot in there, and they still decide to lay their eggs on the rock! sometimes i think our fish do stuff on purpose just to annoy us. :)
