so after like a decade or more of waiting, this fish finally showed it's face in the market. i had an opportunity to obtain 3 from my LFS. i ordered 2 and surprise surprise!

also, this other rarity showed up. this is gramma linkii. the lesser known ugly duckling of the quintet of gramma sp. comprising of G. loreto, melacara, dejoni, brasiliensis and linkii. (i don't know if G. sprungi is a legit sp)

it's usually a grey-blue with yellow eye stripe and some yellow spots. but this specimen is showing it's faded stressed colouration. it belongs to my friend and hopefully when it settles down, i'll get to see some nicer pictures.

nonetheless, it's another super rare fish.

Cirrhilabrus sanguineus and Paracheilinus piscilineatus was also scheduled for arrival, but did not make it last minute as another country had placed an order faster than we did. that's very unfortunate! these 2 wrasses are legendary!

they're housed with someone while i'm away. 5 more weeks till i get home...

i just hope everything is ok including the butterflies.

Peter don't be jealous :) One day. you will find it. one day. haha

thanks for the clarification.

i don't know if it's rare in the states. but it's been more than 10 years since they've been available here! so i'm very happy and just thought i'd share. :}

but they're very common in the wild
