Hello, I'm restocking my 28 gallon Nano Cube once it's settled in (We just moved) and instead of more smaller fish like gobies, I'm looking at one or two larger fish, maybe with an ORA cleaner goby....
The tank is around a 20 inch cube, with skimmer and media basket, currently for restocking I'm looking at this:
1 Larger clownfish
1 Leopard Toby
Maybe 1 small goby
I'm looking for suggestions for the clown, so far my favs are....
Frenatus class:
Amphiprion melanopus, specifically this variant I think I've heard of with more blue.
Polymnus class:
Amphiprion polymnus
Clarkii class:
Amphiprion clarkii
Amphiprion tricinctus
Skunk/Sandaracinos class
Amphiprion perideraion
Amphiprion sandaracinos
Thank you!

Leopard Toby require tanks of at least 40 gallons or more. Not recommended in 28 gallon tank.

Unfortunately Clarkii clowns get upwards of 6 inches - too big for a 28 gallon tank. Not to mention they can get pretty aggressive. I would strongly research tank size recommendations on all clownfish species on your wish list before making any final decisions. From the looks of it, they're all not recommended for a 28 gallon tank - not even for a pair of same species.

Also it's never a good idea to mix clownfish species in same tank.

They only get around 2.5 inches as adults, plus they aren't as active as say fairy wrasse. I think I'm going to get skunks.
And I'm not going to mix, I'm only getting one specimen of one species.
