Looking at new led lighting

I was one of those who unfortunately got sucked into the Auraled led lighting scandal and now am stuck with terrible leds and a guarentee that is worth nothing. So I am looking into purchasing new led lighting for my standard 125g mixed reef system. I have looked at Evolution 100 watt dimmable lighting and yesterday came across came across a ebay seller named trustpick who is selling a 141 watt unit that is quite interesting. They both say they use 3W leds. Evolution uses bridgelux and Trustpick uses Epistar. Does anyone have any experience with either unit to help with the research? Opinions are appreciated.

I also have one of those ebay units on my 40b frag tank and it's been great for the last 4 months. My only complaint is blues only setting is great for fluorescent, but terrible for viewing. When I change out my MH for these, I'll keep my t5s and only use the led with both blue and white on at the same time.

Anyone use the e.shine led units? Doing a local group buy so curiouser if anyone else uses them. I know lots in the area do now from
Previouse group buys but wondered of anyone outside Winnipeg uses them

Remember, the old saying. U get what U pay for!!!! but that don't mean that what U get is bad, because sometimes the cheaper product is better then the expensive ones.
Because lighting is a big factor in reef keeping u should want the best ur $$$ can get. and keep in mind the typle of corals you R keeping.
With that being said. I have a 48x24x24 in the works and I've looked at alot of Leds and it came down to two of these http://apolloreefled.com/ or I'll DIY.
I'm leaning more to DIY because I can change them out without having to buy a new fixture every 2to5 years when a newer model come out.

It doesn't look like any of the units you guys are posting have optics that's like running t5's and metal halides without any reflectors which is a huge waste of light. The reflectors can at least double par ratings. I think optics would need to be considered with any led purchase!

You don't need optics unless you want spotlights with these LEDs.

I am also looking into the jump to LED. I've looked into the AI Sol's for my 120 (4x2x2). Though the LED's that Ryan is selling at Blue Fish Aquariums are pretty nice, and a lot more affordable then the AI's. The ebay link above looks interesting, but like was stated earlier, I'm worried about "getting what I pay for" with LED's. I'd rather spend a little more to get a better quality product, then skimp and get something that is cheap.

The best part about these lights is I frequently see people selling them on RC for $200-$250, so you could get them for $160 and turn around and unload them for what you paid. As with everything in life, the most important part about buying anything is finding the right source for that part.

How many of these "120 watt" units do you think I would need over a 125 gallon standard tank with mixed reef inhabitants? 3 or 4?
