+1 on the 75 if you can swing it. I had a 55 when I started , then moved to a 90 - wow the difference in what you can do aquascaping in a few inches is totally worth it.
I think it's asm g3, I got it on a bulk buy. The pump 50-80 bucks. Don't need a hood that's all personal preference. Lights whatever you were gonna use over 55 will work over 75 still 4' long. And yes return pump is needed
That is a pretty good skimmer- its what I use, although I modded it by adding a gate valve to improve efficiency. Even without modding it , it is fine for a 75 gallon tank.
The reason I asked because it's gonna be a fowlr. My tank I care for at work seam failed and the fish are temporary being housed. It's a simple set up where i want a hood and basic light and not fancy reef lighting. How old is the tank? How good of a condition are the seams in? Is the plumbing included for the tank and sunp? I'm asking because I run a very simple setup at work and it has worked for years. A sumpless 55 with power heads
And livestock with a small bioload.
If you look on here, in this club thread I have it listed for sell should be pictures if not I will add, I never it because I moved but did have water in it
