looking for 55gal

anyone have a 55gal tank they are looking to part with. the center brace on mine has broken and my tank is starting to bow everything has been moved temp but in need of a new tank. doesn't matter the condition long as it holds water

You can fix that center brace with some acrylic. People do it so light can go through the middle.

I repaired mine with a 2 by 12 inch piece of 1/4 inch acrylic and two 5/16 nylon bolts and nuts. The brace snapped in the middle due to me picking up the tank using the brace (when empty of course). The bolts are close to the tank walls. Probably could be placed anywhere. One on each side. For good measure I also used epoxy to keep the acrylic up against the broken brace. Clamped it in place till it dried. Probably could cut out the section of brace between the blots and this would function just as well and the brace would be translucent.

till I got my tank fixed, I strapped an orange strap with ratchet that I had from my Home Depot. You could use a pipe clamp or other clamp till you tooled up to fix it. Did not have to transplant my entire tank contents to a new tank that way and I could sleep at night.
