Looking for a centerpiece

Hey everybody,
I'm running a 65 tall with a 30 gallon sump. Mixed reef. I'm looking for some advice on finding an active and colorful fish(es) for the tank. I have a Yellow Watchman Gogy and Two Bangaiis currently. I'm looking at a Kole Tang, assorted wrasses, and or Anthias. If anyone has any advice or reccomendations, let me know. I'm still researching tons of fish just trying to narrow my results with personal experience from others.

TL;DR Want a new fish or two, researching, whats good?

i love my mystery wrasse. They stay small, are SUPER non-aggressive, and your other fish wont bother it. You just need to have good water quality, swimming space, and a sand bed.

mystery wrasse's do not need a sand bed. They also usually get very aggressive when they are adults. They will most likely take out other fairys or flashers. IME

if you dont have shrimp a flame hawkfish would be good. They have great personality (any hawkfish does) and bright and colourful.

melanarus wrasse- just got one about 3 months ago and awesome colors. Also Do a flame angel which ads the bright red color.

if you want a species only wrasse tank then go with a mystery, but if you plan on having more than one wrasse, i would avoid a mystery like the plague

As Mystery Wrasses get bigger they can get more aggressive. They will eat shrimp over just about anything else. I had one that would bully a good size Purple Tang.

My mystery wrasse was great until it got to be an adult... It terrorized everyhing and ate a hi fin goby... Have a picture with have the fish sticking out of his mouth... Never again. i traded him and got a yellow and blue assessor.

I would skip the Kole. There are lots of very pretty wrasses that would be fine in that tank. Flasher wrasses are really colorful and pretty easy to take care of. Some of the fairy wrasses are great, others can be kind of nasty. I love my possum wrasses, even though it tends to be a little cryptic.

Bottom line, you'll probably get more specific answers and recommendations if you look at pictures online at LiveAquaria, Bluezoo, WetWebMedia, etc., see what you like, then ask about specific fish.

Thanks everyone for the input, I've never heard that much about the mystery wrasse. And thanks for some input on other fish I hadn't considered. High fives all around.

The mystery does get big they don't stay small, swale Swiss guard basselet never come out they hide way to much. I have a baby mystery that I won at a SCMAS reef club meeting. Very friendly and shy I have 5 peppermints for aiptasia and a really tiny cleaner no problems. Also you should look at a lineatus fairy wrasse, flame wrasse are really nice, rhomboids are also cool, leopards look awesome. I have every one of those wrasses and they do fine together. ( you just need a bio pellet reactor ;) it is way to many fish I know but it looks awesome in your 65. If you end up getting a mystery add it last and a small one helps because they grow up way to fast. Also look up labouti fairy wrasse. Hope this helps with your decisions. Happy reefing.

Thanks for that; the girlfriend is a wrasse addict, so she is stoked as of this moment.
