Hey guys, wanted to get some opinions on what coral I could place on my main display shelf in my tank. the shelf (in the pic below) is the uppermost rock in the center of the tank. it is approx 24"wide X 16"deep so it can be something that will grow large or spread across a large space, like neon green clove polyps (not to be confused with neon green star polyps that resembles grass) .
The rock sits approx 12-13 inches below a 250w MH so it will receive intense lighting and. The rock itself is 8inches below the water level so what ever it will be cannot grow taller than 8." the flow required can be strong or weak as i can arrange flow direction as needed
the only other thing i want to mention is that what ever it is, it I would like two things :::a vibrant color, not a brown.... and something that moves with the water current.......
not looking for an expensive show piece coral guys, just a colorful standout coral
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thx guys

Most high light corals that can be that close to a mh don't flow. I have a frogspawn slightly off center from my 250w mh, but it was slowly aclimatized to the light. Galaxia might be okay, but it packs a sting. Maybe some acros and movign corals to the side. I like corals that flow as opposed to "sticks", but a few pretty sticks and many flowing corals around it is nice.
