I haven't seen any online for a while and was wondering if anyone here was considering selling their larger gigas? If you a 9 inch plus specimen that need s a good home (and you're willing to ship it) I’m your guy! :)

seasave.net can special order a clam for you. They can get them starting at 10 inches and up. right now they are advertising a 12 inch for $300 on their web site, but it isn't for sale. It has a family of true percs hosting in it so they are leaning towards keeping it. I recently purchased a 12 inch, which is actully about 14 inches for $250 plus $50 for boxing and shipping. They used air cargo so I got it the same day, plus it was cheaper than Fedex and UPS. I will add, that they have reserved the right to turn away customers that do not show responsibility when selecting animals, so be sure that you are able to house such a creature before contacting them. John and Bambi.. are the owners, they are located in Glen Burnie, Maryland and can be reached at 410-766-8888. If you do decide to buy one, tell them that Marc Madison from Atlanta referred you. In doing so, Im sure that they will accommodate your request.

And that big bivalve is now sitting in my tank. :) It's been in since Friday and has been spreading out a bit more each morning the past few days. It's a very healthy (and large!) clam. :)

i just sold a 18" gigas to a hotel that has a 350 gallon tank. it was about to out grow my 180. i got $250 for it. i thought it was a fair price as i paid $20 for it 5 years ago. it also had a clown fish that hosted in it. i hated to get rid of it but soon i would not have been able to get it out of my tank.

I have a 16 incher and a 12 incher that will be needing new homes soon. Outgrowing a 300 and 240 respectively. Sounds like you already got what you wanted though.

I know salty critter here in OH (they're a sponsor of this forum) has a 9" gigas - you can try emailing them to see if they will ship it and what it costs
