Looking for a Mantis in Canada

Does anyone know where I could find a Mantis shrimp in Canada? Shipping livestock across the border is way too expensive...

I'm looking for N. wennerae in particular, or any other smaller, colourful, and hardy type of Mantis.

Overall though i'd think your best bet is finding someone with a hitch hiker one. For that you could try http://www.canreef.com/ for something a little closer to home.

Yeah, I already tried JL Aquatics. No luck.

aquariumillusions.com in Edmonton can sometimes special order them in, but I think they only get the Peacock Mantis. Same with a couple local home businesses, AFAIK.

Aha! I found a small Mantis for $15 locally. It was worth the wait. I think it's a G. smithii, which is perfect for my tank.
