Looking for an ID of these filaments on sps

any idea what these stringy things are? They showed up about 3 nights ago and the filaments have been growing. It apears they are starting form very small tubes, so I'm thinking it may be those calcerous worms. any ideas?

Yeah, they may be calcarious worms or similar. They may just be a bit of temporary slime from another animal that has simply been caught. I wouldn't worry about them, though. I often have worms settle on my corals and grow as commensals.

thanks - they are looking more and more like some sort of commensal worm
