It looks remarkably like an acro I had in the past. Never had a name. Just a pretty coral.

Can I ask where you aquired it? I got mine from Jedi several years ago.

Yep that's it. I got as a brown out and was pleasantly surprised. VERY hardy. Great irridescent. purple, lavender, w green hues. Branches like a stag. Nice coral. But beyond Acro....I have no idea what it is.

Yes, very nice acropora someone from another site said it was or looks like a tort. I really don't think it is but i'm not an expert in anyway in iding coral. I was thinking a deepwater species..

sounds like we have the same coral, as i got my piece from mark sometime ago
since it doesnt have a name, you should give it one, make sure to attach "LE" in the beginning j/k

I don't think it's a tort but you're not the first person to say that. The Cali-Tort I do have looks nothing like it. Also Capt. Cully had the same coral (we both got it from Jedi) and his grew the same way.

I didn't think it grew like a tort at all, but in reality, it is what it is. A purple acro.
