Looking for Conspiculatus Angel

Hello,

I am looking for a Conspiculatus angel fish. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one. I recently saw one on E--y. I was wondering if anyone has ever bought one from this guy. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for one.

Jack

Well if you consider 1400+ an arm and a leg your not going to find one. If not Old Town aquarium probably has one. It will will certainly be in the 1800 range. Regards, Tim

This is my favorite Angel also but I gave up on ever getting one becasue of their prices. Cheapest one I have ever seen was 1400 bucks. IF you are willing to pay for it then here are some sites I have seen them at, justrarefish.com and just recently at reefhotspot and marinedepotlive. Happy hunting.

Yeah I was looking for them when I saw one on Eb-y.com. If you read though the listing it says that he has different sizes available. Do you think that is a fare price for Conspics?

Jack,

This is Sean's sale. His more expensive Conspic angels are smaller. There are even 2.5" ones that are $2800.

From what I know, Sean has quality rare fish.

In addition to the conspic he has these little guys.

Where is this guy getting two of the most prized fish around? I guess that's the million dollar question!!!!!!!!!! Well his prices for both the Conspic and Gems are right where they should be. If anything the Gems could easily fetch more than that. Those are my 2 super dream fish that I don't have the you know what to take the plunge. I have never heard of this dealer. Campbell have you dealt with him? I know you have heard good things about him. Campbell my Black Tang is coming tomorrow. Pumped about it! My friend also had a big bandit that was eating like a pig but I went with the Tang. Don't know if you got the PM I sent you. Hope all is well. Man I want that Conspic and Gem!!!!!!!!!! Tim

ccampbell57,

Is this Sean guy a trustable contact. I would love to buy one of his gem tangs. I have not see any of these in the US. for over a year now.

Especially a juvi. I love rare fish but that number is a bit to high for my liking. That price for juvi is quite a good one. If I'd have the set to buy them I would either drive or fly to get the fish. Regards, Tim

Yeah tell me about it Tim. I was thinking of flying out to see them. I asked him if it was alright for me to come and see the fish in person. He said that he had no problem with allowing me to do that.

I personally have not done business with Sean personally but have had extensive conversations with him. He has some pretty impressive setups in Ohio including a 2400g black tip shark tank.

He is pretty reputable and I would say for the Gem tang, spend the extra 2-3 hundred and go see the fish.

If I had my ~400g set up I would have already bought one of the conspics. I just have no room for one right now. I have been in constant contact with him due to the fact that he has access to very rare fish. VERY rare.

Once I get my big tank I will buy a fish or 2 from Sean

2 things

First where at in Ohio is this guy located and does he have a website?

Second LargeAngels what typ of Angel is that on your Avatar?

I'm in the market as well for a Conspiculatus. I just looked at the Conspic on Ebay and have been looking for one at a decent price for quite some time. Does anyone have experience dealing with this retailer? I'm a bit concerned by his DOA policy. It is very ambiguous. Below is an exact copy of it as written on Ebay.

Guarantee Policy for Live Arrival Only
The fallowing conditions apply. The livestock must remain in it's shipping bag. Contact us within 1 hr of shippers drop off time. Take a picture of the livestock still in it's shipping water with the bag closed. Return the livestock to us with the bag closed and drained of it's water. Do not for any reason open the bag if the livestock is DOA. You can inspect the health of the specimen by lifting the bag from the shipping container and viewing it from the underside. If for any reason we suspect fraudulence or the shipping bag has been opened the guarantee is void. The guarantee only covers the cost of the livestock not it's shipping charges. Guarantee will be issued in the form of a credit to be used towards other livestock.

For the DOA policy to be accepted the first part of the policy says bag cannot beopened and live stock must remain in water. Then it must be returned with the bag closed with water drained. Then it states do not open open bag for any reason.

How are you supposed to get the water out?

Then if the bag is opened in any way than the gaurantee is void. I'm confused. Seems like either way if the fish is a DOA than there is no reimbursement. Regards, Tim
