Looking for glass cages reviews

How many people have tanks from glass cages and what are your thoughts on them. I'm looking at having a 180 built to go in-wall, viewable from both sides with starfire glass on the front, back, and right side and the overflow on the left side. Or, does anyone know a LOCAL company that they can suggest?

Well my tank is a GC rimless with starfire and have gotten nothing but compliments on it. It's a beast with 1/2" glass, so far so good for me. Shipping is pretty reasonable but you will have to pick it up at a designated site. Georgi's rimless is a starfire gc and it's beautiful. I think he had scratches on a side from transport, but besides that I think his went smoothly. I'm also thinking of a long but shallow build for my new house. Good luck.

Biggest complaints I've heard are poor customer service; short warrenty; and expect to spend time scraping off excess silicone.

Tagging along. I also am looking to get a tank. Was looking at glass cages but am worried. Sent an email to Miracles. They seem really good but more money. Looking to do something in the summer. 150ish.

Maybe we can make out a glass cages group order. I wonder how many tanks or what dollar amount we would have to reach?

If I do end up going ahead with the in-wall build I will have a 180rr aga megaflow tank in perfect condition for sale soon if anyone is interested.

Just got off the phone with glass cages and they said we can get a group order discount if we order 3 or more tanks at the same time. The next time their delivery truck will be out this way is in 4 weeks. Let me know if this is something that you guys are interested in.

I have a glasscages custom tank at the school and it was well made. I have been happy with it from the start. I'd definitely order with them again. It is almost worth it just to see the CRAZY tanks that they have made for the other people who are picking up.

As Joe said my tank is from glass cages. 40B rimless. I think they did a fine job, except that they had it on the right side in the truck with very little padding and probably something hard and small got stuck, so from the shaking there are a few scratches. Just make sure you inspect the tank when you pick it up for scratches. Other than that, get the black silicone, they tend to be much more careful with it.

Oh yes, and they used 1/2" glass for a 40B

I have a 65 gallon acrylic tank that I bought from GC to use as a sump. It showed up in less than a week, was manufactured perfectly, and I think the price was right. It was not meant to be a show tank, but from the price / quality of the tank, I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again.

I agree, I'd buy a new tank from GC in a heartbeat. In fact I may be buying a new one in the next upcoming months, provided everything goes well with my move.
