I recently found the reef club and thoug you would be the best to ask. I live in S. St. Pete and Im looking for quality cured live rock. Does anyone know where I can get some? recommend a good LFS? Ive been going to Pet-Mart on Bay Pines but I dont like their rock. Besides online, Ive also tried Anal House but their stuff is even worse.

Id rather not have to order if it can be helped. But if I must, I must. Any help??

I got mine from Life Oceanic on south 41 in Apollo Beach and was very happy with it. At $3.00 a pound I could not complain about the price. Although they are not the best quality photos, there are some in my gallery of it.

I got mine from 2 places. Life Oceanic and Marine Whse. The stuff from life oceanic is great very porus and light. The marine whse rock is very heavy but you can get bigger more solid pieces and it is something like 7 a pound. I would call Life oceanic to see if they have a lot in stock and get it there. You cant beat the price. My 75 and 210 is full of their rock...

Sounds like Life Oceanic is the spot. Has anyone ever used rock from TB Saltwater in Tampa or Aquatic Vision in New Port Richey??

Best place for good Pacific rock is Fish and Other Ichthy Things in Oldmar. He has 2 tanks, 1 with cured rock, the other with uncured "fresh" rock. You can dig thru it, as he usually has im guessing over 500 lbs in each tank.

Ditto
I've bought close to 600lbs from John. All of it was very nice. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Several zoas, polyps, and encrusting montis made it thru the curing process.

I use Aquatic Visions but it is not cured (I'm a nooby so I don't think it is...pretty sure it's straight from the boat). I always get 10-20 brittle stars and tons of wacky things on the rock. I've also had my fair share of mantis (one came in on my rock yesterday...pretty pink/green one about 1-1/2"...gonna be a pain to catch the cutie ) .

I LOVE their rock and have never seen anything so full of goodies...but I really don't think it's cured.
