looking for potent solution

I've been battling a mantis shrimp for a few weeks. After trying the usual traps and tricks without success I think I have an idea. If I could make a lethal solution and squirt it into his cave the job would be done. I just don't want to damage the rest of the tank or my water parameters. Any ideas?

If you are sure of the rock he is in. Remove the rock and put it in a bucket with carbonated water mixed with salt to the salinity of your tank. Let it soak for about 5 min. The ph change will drive him out of the rock and he'll be floting in the bottom of the bucket. To catch mine I had to remove almost every rock cuz he was never where I thought he was. You can save him. Mine's about 5 years old now and living in a 10 gal in my shop. They can be very colorful when full grown. Of corse mine never comes out of the rocks.

I would like to save him but the amount of work involved in removing the rock he likes is not worth his life. Sorry, but I had to say it.
