Hi
I currently have a Mag Supreme 1800 return pump on my 180gallon FOWLR aquarium.

I want a replacement pump w/ more flow.

The current pump is T'd to two 3/4 returns and the sump is approx 5 feet below the return.

The return pump more be submercible as I do not have the room or want to drill the sump to use a external pump.

Please let me know what i should go with.

mag24 265watts is ridiculous. i see why it runs so hot.

i run a water blaster HY-7000, 1800gph 88watts, ~1200gph w/5.5ft overhead.

HY-10000 2600gph 130w. thats less than half the watts of the mag24.

i think an hy-7000 is plenty for a 180g though. i have it in my 75g sump.

eheim 1262 is 900gph BEFORE overhead loss.

+1 on Water Blaster. I also run the HY-7000 and it's a beast on my 180g. I have it feeding my TLF 550 reactor, and gated down halfway. It also has about 5-6' of head loss, and splits into two 3/4" returns.
