Anyone in the East-Bay .. SanRamon, Pleasanton, Danville, Livermore, Dublin,
has live rotifers and green food, that can spare some, please let me know.
My pair of clowns just laid down eggs and I want to try raising the frys.
Yes, I have rotifers. I don't have green water since I use RGComplete. I just crashed a bucket of rotifers, so I don't have as much as I typically would, but I still have some to spare.
Also, Reed can do ground shipping and you still get it next day. Just let them know when you place the order.

Since they just started laying eggs, my suggestion is to wait at least 4 clutches before you consider raising the fry. This will allow you to assess if your pair is capable of taking care of the eggs.
For example, I have one pair that lays like clockwork and all of the eggs make it to hatch night, a second pair that lays less consistently, but with a huge clutch every time, and a third pair that lays inconsistently with varied size clutches, and on the sixth night the eggs get eaten.
Also, I forgot to mention earlier that you can place an order for Reed products through your LFS -- when it comes in you just go to the LFS to pick it up and save on shipping.
My pair has been laying for more about 2 months now.
I did not feed them regularly, so the eggs are sometimes white.
This time, there are more eggs and more orange in color.
Do you know the shipping cost from Reed.
Also, do you recommend getting the 5G beginner kit?
