Looking For: Small HOB Skimmer

I have a pair of Banggai Cardinals who won't.... stop..... breeding....

Dang kids and all their energy.

I've decided after the stress of trying to partition off a piece of my sump (It was kind of a last-minute, OMG he's carrying, and need something now approach; with mixed success. Lost one to the skimmer pump, and one to parts unknown; three survivors), I want a dedicated 20G tank, stand, and filter setup for the fry he's carrying now.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a small HOB skimmer, preferably used and cheap?

I'll seek one out, if nobody has one locally. Previously, in the "class" I'm looking for, I owned a Prizm, and a Bak Pak; both were meh for me, with the Prizm seeming to be the most consistent when I ran a 20G QT back in the day. And, of course a SeaClone (who hasn't started there), which looked neat. Kinda. A little, maybe?

Just need some direction; I haven't done much with HOBs in nearly a decade...

Prism will do for a 20g. If you are wanting more power I know that SWC and Reef Octo have a super sized hob skimmer that could probably hold up to 50+ gallons

I have a deluxe Prism you can have for $20.00. I'll drag out the box and check to see what's included tomorrow and get back to you, just in case you're interested. By the way, the Prism skimmer gets bashed a lot here and I'm not saying it's the best, but it skimmed like crazy on my first tank, which was a 29 gallon.

If the pump spins, and it's not cracked, I'll take it. Just PM me.

Honestly; I thought it worked fairly well for what it was when I had one. A $100 skimmer for a small tank... That's all it needs to be, too. And I also figured somebody had one in a closet, somewhere.. (Score!)

Let me know when you're free/want to meet up if it works out...

Reefscape15-

Thanks for the advice, really. I've been playing with in-sump skimmers since about '04 and have that pretty well down. If I had a substantially larger aquarium, or any plans of expansion (Both can happen. Who knows.) I'll look up one of the other brands....
