This is my Kole Tang (yes i know i have a tang in a 65 gallon but you know what its the only big fish I have and thats for me to deal with) I am here to get an ID on something concerning me about my fish. I have had him for a week and these spots are getting bigger. From the side it just like like fading in his scales but when it turns to the side you can see these bumps. I was wondering if anyone can ID this and how i can treat it. I am putting together a quarantine tank right now to get him out and get him better. PLEASE HELP

I really dont know how to treat this disease because im not sure what it is but what i have done was put the fish in a QT tank and am treating it as a skin fluke

Very hard to determine from the one image I can see...usually it is hard, even with good images to make a proper diagnosis. From your description and from what I can see on the picture of the Kole Tang, it looks like you may have Marine Velvet, which may be in conjunction with a bacterial infection.

Obviously there are numerous things it could be, but it looks like you are treating for parasites already (assuming you are using copper), so hopefully you will notice an improvement.

Im leaning more towards flukes. If it is, its easy to treat (Prazipro) and if its not dosing with Prazi isnt going to hurt anything.

yeah I wish i could take a better picture and after doing some more research last night It kinda did look like flukes but its hard to tell with his darker skin. I have noticed some circles show up on his tail that would look like velvet. Anyway the medicine I am using is supposed to treat most all parasites including velvet. I will just give him a few more days and see what is going on from here.

Actually no I am not using copper.
