I am going to try and cover some of the tonga branches in my 90 gallon with a nice zoanthid. I would like everyones opinions on which ones grow the fastest and stay together tightly.

These grow like crazy!!!! And they look awesome!

Yeah, they're all over.....but mostly on rock that I can't get to in order to frag.
Let me set a new rock out. Holler back.

I have some radioactive dragons eyes like those that grow fast, too! You won't be disappointed I don't think.

You could always get some brown polyps from Angela or myself. :D

Here's an example of what I mean.

Look for the green centers....this is just a strip of my 5 gallon, but I have green spread throughout my tank. They will pop up anywhere.

FWIW....the rock I'll give you is at the bottom between the Nuclear Green and Blue zoas.

agree with everyone...my pink panthers, radioactive dragon eyes are super fast growers.....but they dont compare to brian and moriahs pink zoas!!!

The pink zoos were indeed, out of control. Sadly, we don't have any of them at this point. We sold a bunch of them last year at the swap, and then sold off the huge cave rock that was covered in them. I don't have any idea who bought that to even point you in the right direction of who to ask...

Ah man....you just reminded me.....yeah, those pink zoas are the fastest growers!
I'll give you a chunk of those as well. They grow faster than Xenia in my tank!

Maybe you should do different zoas on different branches and judge for yourself.......?

For me, I find that once the Zoa have established itself, they all are fast growers. Once they start, they just kept going going going......

Robert, I'm just starting to set some small rocks near by the colonies to get some frags, I'll let you know when I'm ready, you can have the ones I get. :)

Evil Mel's grow crazy fast as well. They are pretty much indestructable as well. I could probably pull them out of my tank and grow them in a window sill.

I have had fast growers...any of you guys had where all the sudden they just start dieing off...and flounder a while? while others are good? i have had this happen on a few fer sure

I got some of the pinks about a year ago. It was just a frag of 5 and it is on the large rock to the side of the tonga. It is about 25 polpys now. I am letting them cover that rock.

Those look great. Thanks....I will be home Thrusday and Friday night. But out of town for the weekend. Valentines Day trip.

Anyone else got a different frag they want to part with let me know. I think the idea of doing different ones on each branch is a great one.

Thanks everyone

wait you had a poly of 5 frags and its only at 25 after being in the tank for a year????......thats amazing in itself......i got a 5-10 polyp frag from when i first started off.....and i'll say ive probably had over 100+++
