Looking to borrow UV Sterilizer

Hey everyone,

I think I have a bacterial bloom from dosing too much MB7/Zeo/vodka dosing/etc crap over the last two years to try and get my tank back on track. I've stopped dosing everything. The tank is looking better but I have this clear/white/brown stuff all over my rock and a constant brown film on my glass and now I see it in my sump.

If I don't change 5% of my water 1-2 times a week my sps corals start to receed at the based which I believe is an indication the PO4 is too low in my tank. I basically have no crynobacteria either, so the best conclussion I can come up with is the bacteria keeps consuming all the available PO4.

Do anyone have a UV sterilizer I can borrow? I will even purchase a new UV bulb for using it. I only want to use it to get the bloom under control.

Who told you that UV will take care of this problem, plus i dont see a big issue here. Just stop dosing carbon source and do large w/c for now..no need to run a UV.
Very important to run skimmer wet!

I stopped dosing over a month ago but I can't seem to reduce the bacterial bloom. But I'll keep trying.

Issue is I can't grow any corals bc it seems to be a constant deficiency in PO4. If anything I'm losing a little bit over time.

What size do you need?

What skimmer do you have an what is the total water value? I am sure you know that ,but if you start carbon dosing you must have efficient skimmer

I'm using a Reef Octopus Extreme 200. I have roughly 75-80 gal of net water.

I can't help you wether or not it will solve your problem. But I have a 15 and a 25 you are welcome to borrow.
