I have a 54 corner bowfront, agronite 3" deep, 70# LR, and SPS only. Have 3 Maxi 900 on Wavemaster Pro, Mag 3 return and Maxi1200 on Skimmer. What would you recomend for Tunze circulation upgrade? Like the new 7095. Thanks for your help, John

owsi,

This is how I had my old 92 corner set up.

I drilled holes in the corner braces on the left and right side of the tank and have the two 4002's sitting on top. A couple of 2002's would work great on your tank. This was the least obtrusive flow I could figure out for the tank. The pumps are easily maintained with available parts and last forever. No heat transfer and are pretty quiet. I had a Stream 6060 in it for awhile but could never find a sweet spot to put it and it looked bad too.

That is a sweet set up Luis.

For a 54 the 2002 would be fine if you like Luis tank. The 2002 and 4002 are nice because they can really last forever, on the downside rebuilding them requires that you be moderately handy they are an old fashioned air cooled motor and it takes some practice and general mechanical ability to really be comfortable with them. A single 6000 might be OK or you could use 2 7200/2. All of these pumps can use the 7095 but the 2002 will need an extra adapter that changes the signal to the pumps.

Thanks Luis and Roger, Got my 2nd 2002 today, took the 7094 kit MD sent me. Put one front brace like yours, Luis, put the other on back corner by overflow. This replaced 3 MJ 900, one set up with Hydroflo. Great turbulance, a whole lot less junk showing and less heat gain, which is important here in Arizona. Thanks again, John

That's great John...talking about this really makes me miss my 92 corner.

Did you also get the pump adapters 7094.40 so you can pulse your 2002's?

Luis

Sure did. I went from 8X to about 20x turnover and it looks great. Was worried about the 633GPH each so just bought one 2002 first then the adapter kit and today the other 2002 got here. I went with the 7094 rather then wait for the 7095. That photo cell is cool, better then the Wavemaster Pro set up. Now to find a feed timer for the sump pump, then sell or trade the Wavemaster. Thanks again for the help, John

That's a nice set-up for sure!

Oh, if the 2002 you have sitting on the corner bracket tends to want to spin around due to the torque, go to the hardware store and buy little rubber feet with a sticky back adhesive. I mounted a few of these on the bottom of the pump housing and it stayed put.

Post pix if you got 'em!

Luis
