Hey Lookout,
Here is a real good thread on Dosing. I don't know if you have read it,but it has a lot of good, easy to understand info.
It from TMZ (TOM). I have been subscribed to it for a long time now, although its not as active as it used to be. If you have questions, Tom will answer. Unlike the Algaefix thread where you get the general consensus halfway through, Tom's thread has good info/food for thought to the end.---RICK

Thank you rick, I subscribed and already started to read it. With all this help, when the tank is done.. you are going to have to come to florida on vacation :-p

Love Lauderdale, Shooters, Bootleggers, Sea Watch :beachbum:...use go to Key West for the Off Shore Races every year.

Good thing its not a few months from now, or I'd be hunting some plane tickets...out of the snow!!

lookout man you have made a lot of progress since my last check-in. Keep up the good work. My hat goes off to you and your patience for all those little wires!!!!!!!

Thanks for the replys. I just did m 2nd application of algaefix. I pulled out a bunch of it yesterday. It looks like it is starting to get lighter in color. Going to work more on the bottom today. hope to get that close to completed.

I really like the way this is turing out. The bottom is almost done, Just have to finish painting it. Added a small bar to the right.

Ok so this is not reef related, but I need some opinions. I am going to tile the house, probably not this year but sooner than later. I know what tile I want. I have already tiled one of my rooms. I just need opinions on normal or herringbone. I wish I had a bigger audience on my thread, would like more opinions. I was going to do the bedrooms herringbone and the main area normal. After I did the bedroom I sort of wish I did the bedrooms normal and the main area normal… Opinions please!
All herringbone, all normal ( accept the one room I already did), all bedrooms herringbone and main area normal??

The closet I did normal.

The flash makes this look a lot lighter then it is.

Herringbone is a very "active" sort of pattern, great if it is your intention to draw people's eyes to the flooring. But you seem to be going for very neutral colours for the walls so I'm guessing a quieter brick or square pattern might be more to your liking overall.

In the end it is your own tastes that must prevail. You're the one who has to live with it.

Burnt orange, gold, and green are neutral? I thought they were far from it. And I am a guy, I have bad design taste :D.

If this is your idea of being adventurous you definitely want to stay with a calmer tile pattern. Yes, you have chosen colours versus plain white, but the hues you have chosen are all very quiet. It's not as though you had used retina-burning orange or a livid chartreuse.

Again, you should choose what suits your own tastes best. Home should be a place that you feel good in, not trying to run away from.

My house could bright pink for all I care.. I have my dream tank.. I am happy!

Where could this be going, 60''x33''x16 1'' think acrylic.... about 115 gallons. It is rough cut, need to finish with router, get some more weldon, and glue it together. Also spakled the wall 2 times.

Amazing build so far. Tagging along for the ride. Not everyone like herringbone, but I do. How is the GHA doing?

Thanks you. The GHA is going away; I am surprised how fast it is going away also. As for the herringbone, I do like it... But I like the normal layout also so I am completely torn on what to do.
