Lookout's new adventure

Frag tank is about 1/2 way full of water. Having problem with my leds. The reflectors keep falling off and so do the few lenses I put on for testing. I am going to have to go by a 2 part epoxy and try that. Also it seems like 4/5 fans I have on the pendants have burnt out. I don't get this as I have them on a computer power supply. I am going to have to take some time and figure out what's going on with them. At work now so no pictures, sorry.

IT'S RUNNING! So I have the tank in the laundry room up and running!. Plumbing was a bit of a pain under the stand, also had some pump problems. tomorrow is going to be clean up day and hang the lights over that tank. I am also going to look at the lights on the main system. I got epoxy for the reflectors.

Here is a full system video,

Got the rock wall up. Need to cut some egg crate to make a wall on both sides of the back. This will keep the macro algae in. Then need to make the frag racks in the front. The pieces of rock sitting in the front will not be there, just ran out of room to put them in the wall.

Can you say me what you go do when you need change the wash machine? :/

I can pull the washer and dryer out to replace or work on them.

Sorry for no updates, work has been crazy and having family come down for the holidays. I hope to get working on this again after the new years.

Hope everyone had a happy new year's. I have not forgotten about this thread. I am going to get back to working on the tank here soon. 2 things I need to do first. 1 get the auto top of system setup( tired of filling the sump every few days).

2.. figure out how I am going to deal with the moisture under the stand
Do I just put a fan on the stand and blow the air out into the house... Do i put a fan and blow it in to the attic ( think this one is bad).. Do I put a fan and duck it into the roof vent of the dryer and put a one way flapper on it. Or do I put a small dehumidifier down there. Not sure what I am going to do yet.

Yeah that wouldn't be good. You'd wind up filling your attic with moisture which would grow some nasty mold on your attic insulation and underside of the roof sheeting... definitely a bad idea.

Tapping into the dryer vent *might* also violate the building code, so I'd be careful with that too. From a logical standpoint, it also sounds bad...more moisture in that vent could cause the lint to clump more, thus increasing the likelihood of a clog, thus increasing the likelihood of a fire...

I don't know how much moisture there is under your stand...but I think starting with a small, say 120mm PC fan blowing things around and out of the stand would probably help. I use one aimed directly at the sump for purposes of cooling my tank. It's controlled by the Apex.

If the fan adds too much moisture to your room, the dehumidifier might be called for...

Been following this thread for a long time...the build is completely gorgeous and the attention to detail is second to none. Exceptionally well done sir. Your lights especially are utterly gorgeous.

So I have not forgotten about this thread. I have been very busy at work and have not had time to do much. The tank is running and webcam is still up. I tiled most of my house but still need to finish up the baseboard trim. The tank looks so much better on the tile then the carpet. I will post some pictures later. I hope to get some cheato in and hang the lights over the tank in the laundry room.

The bad news.. I need to tile the laundry room( the person who owned the house before me decided it was a good idea to tile over the old tile instead of picking it up). So now the new tile is lower then the tile in the laundry room. So I am going to have to take down the tank in the laundry room pull up the old 2 layers of tile and re-tile it then put it back up.
