just picked a few frags from Lori. she has a very nice tank and her sps are growing out of her tank:)..thanks Lori...

who has redbugs?....lori i have the same lights as yours ..but 5 of them...nice tank:)..see you soon

still unhappy I see... I dont see any red bugs in my tank or on corals. I use tropic marin pro coral cure dip sold by fragfarmer. If anyone is interested in checking it out its for sale on the fragfarmer site. Charlie you havent even seen my tank in over a month. I know you preach the intercepter treatment, but they came back in your tank regardless.
 
i think it is unethical to sell of trade any frags which you know might have red bugs...last time i saw your tank they were there and you even said so.... from my experiances with them there populations came and go but there still there .....weather or not the TMPPC dip kills them is highly debated....just as much debated as if the red bugs are bad or not .....yes they did come back in my tank only due to bad QT practices on my part .....lesson learned...
if i were going to sell or trade any corals out of my tank i would be sure to let people know

While I totally agree with the sentiment Charlie, I have no way of validating your claims. This puts me in a bad positon. If you're correct, you are performing somewhat of a public service. If you're wrong, your violating the User Agreement.
In either case, your point has been made. Without indisputable proof of your claims, continuing with your crusade at this point would be a mistake.
 
I purchased several of Lori's corals, and plan on doing so again in the very near future. I have to say this. She has a stunning tank. I was jealous to all hell. I also have to say this. Having acquired montipora eating nudibranchs from a frag trade I am extremely careful about what I buy. I have also purchased corals from stores that had flat worms so buying or acquiring corals from any source has its risks.

Having said that....I spent a long time looking at Lori's corals. I saw NO evidence of any redbugs, nor anything else to give me concern for that matter. The characteristics of redbug infestation were lacking. No tissue damage and the polyps were fully extended. A beautiful and healthy system.

I had redbugs in the past. So did Tim. Neither of us did an interceptor treatment and neither of us can find a single bug. I have looked and looked, but they are gone as far as I can tell. Interceptor treatment is not without its risks.

Quaranting all livestock should always be performed...irrespective of the source.

all i said was she has a nice tank:).............thanks for inputs guys...but have done worse things to my tank and yet it is still going. thanks Charlie for the heads up...of course i took my chances with my practice of not quarantining....Lori really does have a really nice tank though....thanks again Lori:)

What is going on here??? This isnt Like COMAS!!! <font size="1" color="#0000FF">profanity removed</font> . I am sure every one has bad things happen to there tanks every now and again!!!! Right now I am batteling a hell of a HA outbreak but I think I am starting to win but people are not on here blasting me for it. For what it is worth Charlie I saw your tank and even got a few frags that are still thriving in my tank and it was awsome! And lories tanks is just breath taking but man lets leave the daggers at home. The HA that I am batteling for the first time is enough of a downer lest not turn RC into this. IF I am out of line I am sorry but I just dont want people getting hurt.

RC uses profanity filters for a reason, if you have to use creative spelling or symbols in place of letters to get it past the filters, it's not welcome here. Please refrain from that practice in the future, as it can and has cost people their posting priviliges here.
