As many of you know there has not been a reef club in the Los angeles area for some time now. I don't know the reasons why it fizzled nor do I want to upset anyone by trying to restore it. All I know is that there is a huge demand...
This is an all new club in close proximity to Los Angeles, Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. The Los Angeles Reef Society will have its first meeting in June and will have regular meetings on the second sunday of every month. The date was chosen as to not disturb any other club.
The first meeting will be held at:
Carrows Restaurant
1021 San Gabriel Blvd
Rosemead Ca 91770
on Sunday June 15th at 7pm in the back room. It will run from 7-9pm.
We look forward to everyone and anyone who is available to attend. The first meeting with be a huge meet and greet as well as an open discussion for the direction of the club.
For those that do not know me, my name is steve Rodriguez. I have been a member on here for a few years but mostly on SCR. I know a lot of you from other clubs such as IEMAS, SCRK and SCMAS and roaming the fish stores almost every weekend.
As president of this new club, my goal is not to take away from the other clubs. I have been to other club meetings as a paid member and love each and every club i have been to. My goal is to share this awesome hobby with people in the area. To make this club as fun as it can be and find ways to interact with all of the other clubs. Nothing beats good old competition so I plan on proposing club vs club contests to other clubs. I have many ideas in mind so hopefully we can all have a good experience
