i have a piece of what looks like a milli and for the past week the flesh has been falling off leaving bare skeleton, its more than half way dead :( the rest of it looks ok, should i frag whats left? ive also heard of ppl putting superglue along the line wher the live tissue meets the dead skeleton, does this work? i need to do something soon before i lose the whole thing

you can try it and maybe it will work. Or you can try fragging a little above the dead area into healthy tissue and that will sometimes stop it also. But all this doesn't matter if your water quality is off. I would say fix the water and the corals should heal on its own.

i dont like to frag my sps, but at the point you are at with dying tissue, i would perhaps jus frag off the good peices and see if i couldnt jus start them over without any problems... imo, the only thing you have to lose at this point, is the entire coral, so why not try and save a few peices...

jmho, nothing more... GL!

I've used the glue trick in the past on encrusting montis that were doing the rtn thing. It actually worked really well.

On branching acros I've never tried it. It's usually easier just to frag it ahead of rtn and start over before you lose the whole thing.
